Roles & Responsibilities

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Welding Inspector to join our Oil & Gas project team.

The successful candidate

Key Responsibilities

Perform visual inspections and verify weld dimensions against project specifications.

Conduct NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and

penetrant testing for pipelines and structural components. Review and interpret Welding Procedure

Specifications (WPS), P&ID drawings, and applicable codes (AWS, ASME, API 1104).

Monitor welding operations on pipelines, pressure vessels, and offshore structures for compliance.

Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports for QA/QC records.

Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards and company policies.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Certifications: AWS CWI, CSWIP 3.1/3.2, or equivalent.

NDT Level II certifications (UT, MT, PT) preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in welding inspection within Oil & Gas projects.

Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW) and industry codes

(ASME Section IX, API 1104). Skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and P&ID diagrams.

Proficient in visual and NDT inspection techniques.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and reporting abilities.
