Roles & Responsibilities
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project for EPC, construction, shutdown, and maintenance projects.
- Prepare baseline schedules, manpower histograms, resource loading, and cash flow projections.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Analyze project performance and identify schedule risks, delays, and critical activities.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules, recovery plans, and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, and HSE departments to ensure alignment with project milestones.
- Participate in project kick-off meetings, progress review meetings, and client coordination meetings.
- Track productivity, progress percentages, and earned value analysis (EVA).
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and dashboards for management and clients.
- Review subcontractor schedules and monitor subcontractor performance.
- Support claims preparation, extension of time (EOT) analysis, and delay analysis when required.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, contract requirements, and project specifications.
- Maintain proper project documentation and records related to planning and scheduling activities.
- Assist project management in forecasting project completion dates and identifying resource requirements.
- Coordinate shutdown/turnaround planning activities when applicable.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 8 years of experience in planning and scheduling within oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, pipeline, or EPC construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of project planning and scheduling principles.
- Proficiency in:
- Primavera P6
- Microsoft Project
- Microsoft Excel and reporting tools
- Familiarity with EPC project lifecycle and construction methodologies.
- Experience in resource planning, progress measurement, and delay analysis.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, project specifications, and contracts.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of international standards and project controls practices is an advantage.
- PMP, PSP, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Gulf/Middle East experience is an added advantage.
