A Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, ensuring safe and effective drug usage, and providing professional guidance to patients and healthcare professionals regarding medications and treatment plans.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Review and interpret prescriptions issued by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide counseling to patients regarding medication usage, dosage, side effects, and storage.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain proper records of prescriptions, controlled drugs, and inventory.
- Monitor drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications before dispensing medications.
- Manage pharmacy stock, procurement, and storage of medicines.
- Prepare and label medications according to standard procedures.
- Coordinate with doctors and healthcare staff regarding medication therapy and patient care.
- Educate patients on preventive healthcare and medication adherence.
- Handle insurance claims and billing processes when required.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety within the pharmacy.
- Ensure expired or damaged medications are properly disposed of according to regulations.

Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor s Degree/Diploma in Pharmacy
- Valid Pharmacist License/Registration
