Roles & Responsibilities
The AI and Data Solutions Specialist play a vital role in advancing Dar Al Shifa Hospital’s digital transformation journey toward becoming a fully data-driven organization. This role focuses on transforming complex healthcare data into actionable insights and applying artificial intelligence, automation, and predictive analytics to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience in data analytics, data warehousing, and healthcare information systems, with strong technical expertise and business intelligence. The specialist will manage the hospital’s analytics and AI platforms, develop insightful dashboards, ensure data integrity across systems such as Oracle Health EMR and SAP ERP, and lead initiatives that leverage AI and machine learning for informed decision-making and continuous improvement across clinical, financial, and administrative domains.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Data and Solution Integration:
Manage healthcare data pipelines and ensure accurate integration between clinical (Oracle Health/Cerner), administrative (SAP ERP), and external data systems.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with healthcare data governance standards.
Analytics and Insights Development:
Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and analytical models in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric for hospital leadership and department heads.
Develop automated analytics workflows for KPIs covering clinical performance, patient flow, and financial efficiency.
Artificial Intelligence and Predictive Modeling
Develop and deploy AI and machine learning models to support predictive insights such as readmission risks, patient satisfaction analysis, and operational forecasting.
Work with Microsoft Azure AI, Copilot Studio, and Fabric to integrate AI-driven automation and decision support tools.
Collaborate with technical teams to design and deploy end-to-end AI solutions that integrate seamlessly into clinical or administrative workflows.
Data Governance and Compliance
Implement data protection and governance practices in line with hospital IT policies, ensuring compliance with MOH, HIMSS accreditation standards.
Maintain metadata, audit trails, and security controls for all analytics environments.
Collaboration and Business Partnering
Collaborate with clinical, financial, and operational teams to define analytical needs and transform them into actionable insights.
Serve as the hospital’s focal point for AI-related initiatives and liaise with vendors, including Microsoft, Oracle Health, and SAP partners.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, or related discipline is required.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in healthcare data analytics, AI, or Business Intelligence.
Data Warehousing & Analytics Platforms: Practical experience with modern platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW), or Snowflake.
BI & Visualization Tools: Strong proficiency in Power BI, Oracle Analytics or equivalent visualization platforms.
Database & Modeling: Expert-level SQL skills and experience in data modeling and managing large healthcare data environments.
Cloud Platforms: Experience working with Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), or AWS for analytics and AI workloads.
AI & Machine Learning: Familiarity with Python, Azure Machine Learning, and Cognitive Services for developing predictive or automation models.
Healthcare Systems: Understanding clinical and financial data, with experience in Oracle Health/Cerner EMR and SAP ERP.
Interoperability Standards: Knowledge of HL7/FHIR, and healthcare data exchange protocols.
Language: Well versed in English and Arabic Language will be an added advantage.
Computer Proficiency: Excellent Computer Skills, Proficient in MS Office and related software applications.
