Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist

Reporting to: Head of Psychiatry

What you will do

  • Lead Psychiatric Care: Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage patients with mental health disorders

  • Deliver Evidence-Based Treatment: Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications per clinical guidelines and regulations

  • Collaborative Care Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans with psychologists and multidisciplinary teams

  • Risk Assessment & Management: Assess and manage high-risk situations, including self-harm, suicide, and aggression

  • Clinical Governance: Ensure patient safety, informed consent, confidentiality, and accurate documentation

  • Advance Clinical Practice: Contribute to service development, clinical pathways, and quality improvement initiatives

  • Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, ethical standards, and MOH regulations

  • On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in on-call coverage as required

You will thrive here if you have…

  • 9+ years of post-specialty clinical experience in Psychiatry.

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and a Master’s degree in Psychiatry from an accredited university

  • Advanced qualifications such as Board Certification, Doctorate, PhD, Membership, or Fellowship in a Psychiatric specialty - USA, Canada, UK, Germany, GCC, or equivalent

  • Proven expertise in managing complex psychiatric conditions across multiple care settings

  • Strong clinical judgment, resilience, and the ability to manage high-risk cases
