We are seeking a dedicated Safety Engineer to join our team in Kuwait, specializing in electrical construction projects involving substations and overhead transmission lines. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of safety compliance, risk management, and workplace safety culture across all project phases.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures specific to electrical construction projects.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on substations and overhead transmission sites to identify potential hazards.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure adherence to safety regulations and best practices.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend preventive measures.
- Provide safety training and awareness programs to site personnel and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with local and international safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize workplace accidents.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of safety records, permits, and certifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Safety Engineer in electrical construction, preferably in substation and overhead transmission projects.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, electrical safety protocols, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and guide teams.
- Ability to work independently and make critical safety decisions under pressure.
- Familiarity with Kuwait's safety regulations and standards is highly desirable.
- Certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Valid membership with Kuwait Society of Engineers is mandatory
