We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant Manager to join our EPC company in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will support the procurement department in acquiring high-quality materials and services efficiently and cost-effectively, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met. This role requires strong negotiation skills, supplier management, and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies to support EPC projects.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers to understand procurement needs and specifications.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on performance, cost, and compliance.
- Prepare purchase orders and track procurement status to ensure on-time delivery.
- Assist in contract negotiations and monitor contract compliance.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reports for management review.
- Identify opportunities to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations in all procurement activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement within the EPC or construction industry, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contracts, and supplier management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with procurement software and MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
- Proactive, team-oriented, and capable of working collaboratively across departments.
