Job Summary:
Responsible for installing, testing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation and control systems to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, calibrate, and maintain electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instruments.
- Diagnose and repair faults in instrumentation and control systems.
- Install, modify, and commission new instrumentation systems and equipment.
- Monitor gauges, meters, and indicators to detect abnormalities.
- Perform calibration of flowmeters, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot electronic circuits using diagnostic tools and schematics.
- Remove, repair, clean, and reinstall defective instruments and components.
- Replace wiring, tubing, and faulty parts as required.
- Maintain accurate records of calibrations, repairs, and inventory.
- Prepare reports, sketches, and documentation for system changes.
- Participate in risk assessments and permit-to-work procedures.
- Order spare parts and consumables as required.
- Ensure compliance with HSE and safety procedures at all times.
- Report any safety violations or system issues to management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
Skills
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma with Diploma/ITI in Instrumentation.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance and repair.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems and calibration techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience using diagnostic and testing equipment.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Willingness to work in confined spaces and varying environmental conditions.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays if required.
