Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and highly skilled Pastry & Bakery Chef with 3+ years of professional experience to join our boutique coffee shop team. You will lead the production of our signature specialty desserts, cakes, and traditional middle eastern puddings. While our current focus is on cakes and pastries, we are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in artisanal bread-making who can eventually help us launch a signature bakery line.
Key Responsibilities
- Specialty Dessert Production: Daily preparation of high-quality cakes, modern artisanal sweets, and traditional Kuwaiti puddings (e.g., Mahlabia, Um Ali) to the highest standards.
- Bread-Making (Potential Expansion): Utilize your previous bakery experience to advise on and implement a future bread and viennoiserie selection.
- Team Collaboration: Work efficiently within a small, fast-paced team; you must be a "fast learner" who can adapt quickly to our specific recipes and workflow.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain impeccable kitchen hygiene, manage ingredient inventory to minimize waste, and ensure all items follow Kuwait’s food safety regulations

- Experience: At least 3 years in a commercial pastry or boutique cafe environment.
- Versatility: Proven expertise in both Middle Eastern desserts and modern pastry techniques.
- Growth Mindset: Ability to learn new techniques rapidly and contribute to a growing menu.
- Technical Detail: Artistic eye for cake decoration and precision in following complex dessert recipes.
- Bakery Background: Previous experience with artisanal breads (Sourdough, Brioche, etc.) is preferred for future menu expansions
Residency & Visa Requirements
- Location: Candidates must currently reside in Kuwait and be available for an in-person trial.
- Visa Status: A transferable Article 18 visa (Ahli) is preferred.
- Availability: Priority will be given to "immediate joiners" who have already completed their required service period with their current sponsor
