Position: Senior Treasury Analyst Location: Kuwait – Head Office Type: Full-time
Position Overview: As a Senior Treasury Analyst, you are responsible for overseeing all activities related to the Company's cash, investments, and debt management. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that the organization meets its financial obligations within ABYAT's established policies and procedures.
Key Accountabilities and Activities: Cash Management: Oversee forecast cash flow positions, borrowing needs, and available funds for investment. Ensure the availability of sufficient funds to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements. Provide advice to management on the liquidity aspects of short- and long-range planning. Manage daily cash positioning activities, including liquidity management, cash position reconciliation, and bank reporting. Develop cash targets to support efficient liquidity management. Risk Management:
Develop and lead hedging programs to mitigate risk from currency and interest rate fluctuations, applying advanced hedging strategies. Monitor debt covenant compliance and prepare related calculations and certificates in accordance with debt agreements. Maintain a broker database for trade clearance and counterparty risk. Establish and enforce strong internal controls and financial management policies. Manage counterparty risk through well-considered policies regarding investments and deposits. Trade Finance:
Monitor and manage bank relationships and liquidity management. Coordinate and liaise with banks on the company's trade facilities. Manage financial instruments, including cash and derivatives. Oversee a large number of L/C transactions, including issuance, amendment, and acceptance of L/C. Collaborate closely with colleagues on LC issuance and financing, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal requirements. Foreign Exchange:
Direct FX exposure management through cash flow, balance sheet, and net investment hedging programs. Manage FX and interest-rate risk. SAP ERP System: Implement the automation of significant financial operations using systems that facilitate communication between treasury departments and banking partners. Oversee the SAP treasury module implementation, including LC flow through the system, cash flow, live cash flow position, payment processes, and bank reconciliation. Qualifications / Requirements: Knowledge and Experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in Finance & Treasury, preferred within Retail industry. A bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance. A Professional Certificate in treasury/cash management (preferred). Knowledge of hedging instruments and risk management is required. Experience with SAP ERP systems (Treasury Module (TMS) ) for treasury functions is a must. Experience in using Kyriba system is a Plus.
