The Role:
We are looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer for one of our clients. You are a perfect candidate if you are growth-oriented, you love what you do, and you enjoy working on new ideas to develop exciting products.
What we’re looking for:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics. Extensive hands-on experience with Tableau for data visualisation, including advanced features such as calculated fields, parameters, and complex dashboards. Strong SQL skills and experience with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake, Redshift, or Big Query. Proficiency in data modelling concepts and best practices to enable efficient reporting and analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to translate complex data into actionable insights. Located in CET timezone (+/- 3 hours), we are unable to consider applications from candidates in other time zones.
Nice-to-have skills:
Experience with other BI tools such as Power BI or Looker. Knowledge of ETL processes and tools (e.g., DBT, Airflow) for managing data flows. Familiarity with statistical analysis and Python or R for data analysis. Experience with data governance frameworks and data quality best practices. Certifications in Tableau (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist or Certified Professional) or relevant data analytics tools.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain advanced, interactive Tableau dashboards and reports that provide insight into business performance. Work closely with data engineers and analysts to define, model, and transform data to support reporting and visualisation needs. Perform in-depth data analysis to uncover trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement across various business functions. Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver solutions that align with business objectives. Continuously optimise and enhance Tableau dashboards for performance, scalability, and ease of use. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability by implementing best practices for data validation, testing, and quality control. Create and maintain documentation for dashboards, data models, and data sources to enable a seamless handoff and collaboration with team members.
