We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Barista to join our dynamic team in the hospitality sector. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional coffee experience for our guests. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring that every customer leaves with a smile. This role requires a blend of technical skills in coffee brewing and a strong commitment to customer service. You will work in a fast-paced environment where teamwork and communication are key. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic about coffee culture and eager to learn more about different brewing techniques and coffee origins.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
  2. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the coffee station and the overall café environment.
  3. Engage with customers, providing recommendations and ensuring a positive experience.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain stock.
  5. Train new staff on coffee preparation techniques and customer service best practices.
  6. Stay updated on coffee trends and participate in ongoing training sessions.
  7. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
  8. Assist in creating and promoting seasonal or special beverage offerings.
  9. Resolve customer complaints and feedback in a professional manner.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Strong passion for coffee and a desire to learn about different brewing methods and coffee origins.
  2. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and connect with customers.
  3. Previous experience in a barista role or a similar customer service position is preferred.
  4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  5. Strong team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to support colleagues.
  6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  7. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
  9. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
