Job Summary:

The Telecom Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telecom systems, equipment, and network infrastructure for residential, commercial, and enterprise clients. The role requires strong technical skills, field experience, and the ability to travel between sites using a company or personal vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Configuration

• Install and configure telecom equipment (fiber, copper, wireless, routers, switches, etc.).
• Perform structured cabling work including pulling, splicing, and terminating cables.
• Install customer-premises equipment (CPE), modems, ONTs, Wi-Fi access points, and network devices.
• Set up VoIP, telephony, CCTV, and related systems as required.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Diagnose and repair network connectivity issues.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on telecom systems.
• Perform fiber testing, OTDR measurements, and signal quality analysis.
• Respond to service calls and resolve outages within SLA timelines.

Field Operations

• Travel to customer sites across Kuwait (valid driving license mandatory).
• Coordinate with the NOC and support teams for escalated issues.
• Prepare site reports, installation checklists, and documentation.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all installations comply with company standards and safety procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in proper working condition.
• Follow company policies and ensure customer satisfaction at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or ITI in Telecommunications/Electrical/Electronics or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a telecom technician (fiber, networking, or cabling).

Valid Kuwait driving license is mandatory.

• Knowledge of fiber splicing, OTDR, power meter testing (for fiber roles).
• Basic understanding of IP networking, routing, switching, and wireless technologies.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow installation plans.
• Good communication skills and customer-service orientation.
• Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments.
