Electricians are responsible for the design, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical control
systems and components, wiring, equipment, fixtures and lighting systems. Inspect transformers
and circuit breakers and other electrical components. Troubleshoot electrical issues using
appropriate testing devices. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.

Duties and Essential Job Functions
• Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances,
apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and
hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and
the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
Minimum Job Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
Trouble shooting and repair skills of electrical/electronic systems for Forklifts, Trucks,
Generators, Mobile cranes and other heavy equipment.
Technical solving abilities.
