Legal & Employee Relations Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure company policies and procedures comply with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Handle legal matters related to employment, including contracts, terminations, disputes, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Advise management on employment-related legal risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Manage employee relations by addressing grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary actions in accordance with legal and company guidelines.
  • Draft, review, and update employment contracts, company policies, and legal documents related to HR.
  • Act as the point of contact for government entities regarding labor inspections, disputes, and compliance audits.
  • Oversee investigations of workplace issues such as misconduct, harassment, or policy violations.
  • Collaborate with HR on employee engagement, retention strategies, and workplace culture improvements.
  • Support HR in handling performance management, workforce planning, and compliance with company policies.
  • Keep up to date with changes in labor laws and provide training to HR and management on legal compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Proven experience in labor law, employee relations, and HR legal compliance (minimum 5+ years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Kuwait labor laws and government regulations.
  • Experience handling employment contracts, legal disputes, and workplace investigations.

  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and liaise with legal counsel when necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in handling legal matters.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English is preferred.
