We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Estimator with expertise in lighting to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with teams to deliver competitive proposals. The candidate must have prior experience in the lighting industry and a strong understanding of technical and financial aspects related to lighting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for lighting solutions.
- Collaborate with the sales, design, and procurement teams to assess project requirements and propose viable solutions.
- Research and evaluate material costs, labor, and production requirements specific to lighting systems.
- Create and manage detailed cost breakdowns, quotations, and bid proposals for clients.
- Monitor market trends and pricing to maintain competitive and cost-effective solutions.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and standards.
- Work closely with suppliers to obtain the best pricing and terms for lighting components and systems.
- Provide support during project negotiations and tender submissions.
- Regularly update cost databases and estimation tools for improved accuracy.
- Assist project teams during the execution phase to ensure alignment with cost estimates.
Skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimation within the lighting industry.
- Proficiency in estimation tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD)
- Strong understanding of lighting systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of local market pricing for lighting components and labor.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to lighting.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
