The Public Relations Manager for a holding company is responsible for developing and
implementing comprehensive communication strategies to enhance the public image and
reputation of SH holding company and its subsidiaries. This role requires managing media
relations, investor communications, crisis management, event planning, and digital presence
to support the company’s strategic objectives.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy Development & Communication:
Develop and implement comprehensive long-term and short-term PR strategies that
align with the holding company’s business goals.
Collaborate with senior management to ensure PR strategies support overall
corporate objectives.

Message Consistency:
Ensure all communications from the holding company and its subsidiaries reflect a
unified message.
Develop messaging guidelines for subsidiaries to maintain consistency.

Stakeholder Communication:
Identify key stakeholders, including investors, employees, subsidiaries, media, and the
public.
Develop tailored communication plans for each stakeholder group.

Media Relations:
Build and Maintain Media Contacts: Identify and establish relationships with key
journalists, bloggers, and influencers across industries relevant to the holding
company and its subsidiaries. Maintain a media contact database and regularly
update it.
Press Releases and Media Kits: Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media
kits, and other PR materials. Ensure all materials are accurate, compelling, and align
with the company’s messaging.
Media Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor media coverage of the holding company
and its subsidiaries. Analyze media coverage and provide regular reports to
management, highlighting trends, sentiment, and potential areas of concern.
Ensure the company’s brand is consistently represented across all communications.
5 Investor Relations:
Support Investor Communication: Work closely with the investor relations team to
develop communication strategies for shareholders and potential investors. Assist in
the preparation of annual reports, investor presentations, and other financial
communications.
Develop Investor Messaging: Craft clear and concise messaging for investor
communications that align with the company’s financial performance and strategic
direction. Ensure all investor communications are transparent and compliant with
regulatory requirements.

Manage Crisis Management:
Crisis Communication: Develop and implement comprehensive crisis
communication plans to address potential threats to the company’s reputation.
Rapid Response: Act as the primary point of contact during crises, coordinating with
internal teams and external stakeholders and ensuring timely and accurate information
is conveyed to stakeholders to ease negative impact.

Event Management:
Corporate Events: Plan, organize and execute corporate events, press conferences,
and media briefings, product launches, and investor meetings.
Speaking Engagements: Prepare executives for public speaking engagements and
media interviews, and presentations. Develop talking points, Q&A documents, and
other supporting materials.

Digital PR:
Online Presence: Oversee the company’s online presence, including the corporate
website and social media channels. Develop and implement digital PR strategies to
enhance brand visibility and engagement.
Content Creation: Develop and curate content for the company’s website, social
media platforms, blogs and other digital channels. Ensure content is engaging,
relevant, and aligned with the company’s messaging.

Internal Communications:
Foster Employee Engagement: Develop and implement internal communication
strategies to keep employees informed and engaged. Organize internal events and
initiatives to foster a positive work environment and enhance employee morale.
Develop content for internal newsletters, intranet, and other internal communication
platforms.
Authority
Public Relations professional holds the authority to manage and oversee all external
communications and public image activities to align with the company’s goals.

Knowledge of financial markets and investor relations is a plus.
Required Education
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism,
or a related field. Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Required Experience
Experience: 7-10 years of experience in public relations, with preference for experience in a
corporate or financial setting in a holding company.
