Job Description
A well-established private sector company in Al Kuwait, Kuwait is seeking a skilled and experienced General Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices. The General Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing financial data to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the company's financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and industry trends.
Preferred Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
