The QHSE Lead is responsible for directing food safety, quality and HSE programs at food production facilities. They help to ensure that all products created at a manufacturing facility meet food safety, customer, governmental and international standards. The individual is responsible for ensuring the proper application of quality, health, safety and environmental (QHSE) standards within the organization. The Lead must ensure that the company's QHSE policy is followed and implement the necessary measures to ensure the proper functioning of activities and services.
- Outlines Implement the policies and procedures for the plant's products to identify potential discrepancies of deliverables from desired product standard.
- Review and support daily, weekly, and monthly the quality parameters of the production process, including the quality of the final products by reporting to the Quality Manager all the relevant data to develop the necessary solutions and support any samples quality reports.
- Performing the data analyses and statistical studies for detecting the improvement areas and optimization possibilities.
- Supervise the efficient and effective operation of the laboratory procedures by proposing and implementing corrections for deviations from established parameters or procedures to ensure company's products standards and secure the satisfaction of client needs.
- Monitor production's efficiency and effectiveness in terms of product quality and volume by analyzing all the parameters of the production process to propose procedural and operational improvements that will support the development of high-quality products.
- Ensure the company standard procedures is applied for analysis and standard operating procedures (SOP) for chemical and physical laboratory to maintain high quality products.
- Ensure all regulations of the laboratory equipment needed for quality assurance are followed to maintain lab equipment's calibration and certification in accordance with the quality system adopted.
- Ensure that all laboratory practices meet the environment and safety standards, and the laboratory personnel comply with and support the safety programs to identify and report issues of consideration and support the alignment of the company with the local legislation and company's standards.
- Monitor and ensure the performance and the compliance of all the Process and Quality Control & Environment/safety Management Systems to maintain the maximum level of reliability and the minimum level of production costs.
- Proactively manage Health & Safety process and procedures to achieve the company ambition of ‘0 Lost Time Injuries’ and to continuously improve the company's Health & Safety performance.
- Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.
- Execution and follow up for optimization trials based on scientific and research basis.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and standards.
- Lead and manage a team of quality control professionals.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and R&D teams.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues and customer complaints.
- Maintain accurate records of quality control & assurance activities.
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate or lead ad-hoc tasks that may go beyond formal accountabilities to satisfy and respond accordingly to business needs.
