Mechanical Design Engineer (Oil & Gas)

a) Accountabilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components for Oil & Gas applications, including pipelines, pressure vessels, pumps, and heat exchangers.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure designs meet operational, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Generate detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software.
  • Collaborate with project teams to review designs, make necessary revisions, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Analyze and improve existing designs to optimize performance, reduce costs, and enhance safety.
  • Perform stress and thermal analysis on mechanical components to ensure durability and efficiency.
  • Ensure all mechanical designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical support during the manufacturing, installation, and commissioning phases.

b) Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Engineering/ Technology (B.Sc. Engg. / B. Tech. / B.E. / B.S.) or Higher Degree.
  • Specialized experience and high skill in Oil & Gas, Surface Facilities, onshore facilities, cross-country pipelines, etc. as applicable to the discipline.

c) Years of Experience:

  • 10 Years in related Fields and Specialty.

Skills

  • Knowledge of materials used in harsh environments, such as corrosion-resistant alloys.
  • Experience working in upstream, midstream, or downstream Oil & Gas sectors.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
