Job Summary:

To lead and direct the Pace Center of Excellence teams to achieve successful delivery of Design projects within the stipulated budget targets, time frame, quality assurance standards. The PM primary role is to ensure all teams know what to deliver, when to deliver it and have the pre-requisite information and guidance to deliver. The PM role is to represent Pace before Clients and Stakeholders to enable and drive the successful delivery of projects under his/her review.


Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and focus to complete the following primary operational steps/tasks: -
  • Owner of the actual project & its’ PSR
  • Manage delivery of project to time, cost & quality to Client’s satisfaction
  • Set up the project, program, change control, risk management, reporting etc
  • Maintain day to day client engagement / project issues/ risk management & response and

interact with project delivery teams.

  • Overall actions and responsibilities are as per the attached summary roles and responsibilities matrix.
  • Cooperate and coordinate with the Design Teams and HOS to enable effective flow of information and effective oversight of Center of Excellence (CoE) project related activities.
  • Liaison and interact as effective Project Leader with both Pace internal teams and the, the Client’s representatives, and Contractor’s leads as applicable.
  • Audit and check on performance and compliance of technical and planning teams to established contractual requirements, standards and practices. Return variances with clear comments and instructions for corrections.
  • Conduct candid and professional discussions with the Design Delivery Teams to explain contractual and Client requirements and expectations and agree methods for compliance.
  • Act as a point of reference and management support source for the project teams and support project team members to focus efforts and resources for


Professional Skills and Experience:

  • Design background, worked in Architecture and design management roles.
  • Knowledge and understanding of scheduling and planning methods and tools (Primavera/MS Project).
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable conditions of contracts (FIDIC, MPW,..etc)
  • Proven hands-on experience of engineer production methods and tools, design and construction processes and standards based on International Standards and Codes
  • Knowledge of national/local ministerial regulations and standards
  • Proven knowledge of CAD and Revit software or similar.
  • Hands on experience in using CAD and Revit software.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree of related Design or engineering courses
  • Previously worked as an Architect in design management.
  • 8 to 12+ years' experience in managing and delivering large projects in a multi-discipline consultancy firm.
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent.
