Position: Web Testing Specialist (Quality Assurance)

Location: Kuwait – Head Office

Type: Full-time


As a Web Testing Specialist (Quality Assurance) at ABYAT, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and usability of our ecommerce website across various devices and browsers. Also be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless and high-quality online shopping experience for our customers. This role requires a keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for delivering superior digital experiences.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and UX/UI designers to understand project requirements, features, and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of the ecommerce website.
  • Evaluate the ecommerce website's user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design to ensure ease of navigation, intuitive interactions, and compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
  • Identify usability issues, accessibility barriers, and areas for improvement, and collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement enhancements.
  • Perform cross-browser compatibility testing to identify and address any inconsistencies or rendering issues across popular web browsers (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure that new enhancements or updates do not adversely affect existing website functionality.
  • Conduct cross-device testing on various mobile devices, tablets, and desktop computers to ensure optimal user experience and responsiveness.
  • Conduct performance testing to assess website speed, page load times, and server response times under different traffic conditions.
  • Perform load testing to simulate high traffic scenarios and identify performance bottlenecks or scalability issues that may impact the user experience.
  • Document and prioritize defects found during testing using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and communicate issues to development teams for resolution.


Qualifications:


  • 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, web testing, or ecommerce QA, preferably in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Proficiency in manual testing techniques and methodologies, as well as experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
  • Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and experience with browser developer tools for troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), usability principles, and best practices for designing inclusive and user-friendly web experiences
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
