The Programming and Automation Engineer will work in the company's projects department supporting the programming/commissioning efforts on all customer projects.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for programming, testing, and commissioning automation systems
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet expected deadlines in a timely manner
- Work on-site and off-site at customer locations on various projects.
- Work on high-stakes projects with tight deadlines
- Collaborate with other engineers and electricians on various projects with the end goal of successful completion of projects
- Effectively communicate with customers to assess customer needs/convey technical solutions
- Report to Factory Manager
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Testing and Commissioning of Low-Voltage Panels
- VFD and Speed Drive Programming
- Soft Starter programming
- PLC programming (knowledge of Ladder Logic and different PLC programming languages)
- HMI unit programming with automation
- Solid understanding of computer programming and software development
- Experience in synchronizing panel with module setting and commissioning on-site
- Experience in ATS panel wiring and operation
- Experience in Sensor Calibration
- Experience in electrical panel wiring
- Experience with project management
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests
- Autonomous problem-solver
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
