About the job:


An exciting opportunity for a Security Officer role has arisen to join the Security team at Jumeirah Messilah Beach - Kuwait.


Your main duties will include:



Assists in protecting Jumeirah Messilah Beach Hotel, colleagues, and guests by observing and reporting any suspicious activities to the proper authorities for follow-up.


  • Carries out foot and vehicle patrols, access control, control of keys, emergency response and notification, and public relations.
  • Escalates all concerns related to fire, life, and safety issues to the Senior Security Officer or Team Leader.
  • Makes necessary entries in security logbooks and registers on a daily basis, ensuring information is useful and detailed.
  • Assists the Assistant Security Manager, Security Manager, and Team Leaders, and participates in the activities of all security personnel engaged in the implementation of Jumeirah Beach Hotel safety and security procedures.
  • Performs any other duties as reasonably requested by management.
  • Is familiar with all procedures related to fire prevention and evacuation, ensuring prompt decision-making in line with the safety and security of guests and colleagues.
  • Performs all other related duties as directed by management as appropriate.
Operational
  • Whilst on duty at the Security Control Room, is responsible for:
    • Monitoring the C.C.T.V. system, fire alarm panel, emergency telephone, elevator control monitor, and emergency lighting control monitor.
    • Maintaining files and cleanliness of the Security Control Room.
    • Acknowledging the fire signal and ensuring it is properly relayed to the Security Team Leader or Assistant for investigation purposes.
    • Restricting Control Room access to authorized personnel.
  • Whilst on duty at the Time Keepers Office, is responsible for:
    • Handling lost and found inquiries.
    • Safe custody of lost and found items.
    • Issuing metal and electronic keys.
    • Maintaining the key register, daily cash float, and envelope dropping.
    • Interacting with other departments and colleagues as required.
    • Ensuring the cleanliness of the Security Time Office and maintaining records.
  • Whilst on duty at the colleague access point, is responsible for:
    • Controlling access for contractors and outside visitors to the hotel premises by screening and issuing security passes and visitor passes.
    • Checking the belongings of colleagues, visitors, and contractors accessing and exiting the premises via the colleague checkpoint.
    • Ensuring that all properties being removed from the hotel premises are covered by the appropriate property removal authorization receipt.
  • Whilst on duty at the receiving area, is responsible for:
    • Issuing supplier passes to different offices regarding the delivery of goods to responsible departments.
    • Checking linen delivery and its removal from the premises.
    • Handling the master key for all concerned department delivery vehicles and ensuring their safe custody.
    • Ensuring that all properties being removed from the premises are covered by the appropriate property removal authorization receipt.
  • Whilst on duty at the hotel lobby, is responsible for:
    • Controlling access to the main guest lifts.
    • Preventing unauthorized visitors from going to the guest rooms.
    • Directing guests to the outlets and interacting with their requirements.
  • Whilst on duty at the main entrance of the hotel, is responsible for:
    • Controlling traffic movements and minimizing congestion by preventing people from parking cars at the main entrance of the hotel for an extended period.
    • Controlling self-parking at the hotel porch and inside the multi-story covered parking.
    • Monitoring VVIP movements.
       

Qualifications:


About you:


The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:


  • Hotel security officer experience
  • Certified Security training
  • Excellent level of English reading, writing and speaking
  • Ability to handle a ‘Crisis’ situation
