Generator Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Install and set up generators and related systems, ensuring proper connection and configuration of generator components. Perform initial testing and adjustments for optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on generators to ensure they are operating correctly.
  • Perform routine inspections, oil changes, and part replacements as needed.
  • Clean and service generators to prevent malfunctions.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in generators.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and determine solutions.
  • Replace faulty components and perform necessary repairs.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while performing tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
  • Prepare detailed reports on the condition and performance of generators.
  • Update service logs and document any issues or repairs.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers.
  • Answer customer inquiries and provide guidance on generator use and maintenance.
  • Conduct on-site visits as required to address customer concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned. 


Skills

Required Educational Qualifications & Work Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in generator repair or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in generator maintenance and repair.
