RESPONSIBILTIES:-

 

 

  • Responsible for successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a projects to a high standard, and ensure projects compliance with Projects Division/ company policies and legal requirements.
  • Responsible for the commercial performance of the project including the preparation and submission of payment applications, preparation and submission of variations, and agreement of the same.
  • Ensure the Project activities adhere to the requirements of the QHSE Management System.
  • Prepare periodic reports for management including status of budgets, variance/change claims, schedules, disputes, up-coming activities & safety records.
  • Ensure project estimates are accurate and the project scope is executable within the budget.
  • Prepare project implementation schedules.
  • Manage the appropriate purchase and sub-contract orders as required on the projects.
  • Create project organization charts and contact lists.
  • Coordinate with clients on project documentation, health and safety requirements and subcontractor compliance.
  • Ensure standard documents are continually used and maintained. These include but are not restricted to progress schedules, technical submittals, RFI’s, etc. Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Leadership in the resolution of issues or conflicts, healthy decision-making is utilized and recorded, Ensures that the close out activities are completed.
  • Attend regular meetings (on work progress, coordination, design, etc.) with Main Contractor and Consultant to discuss key issues related to the project and take effective corrective actions.
  • Monitor project budgets and schedule and oversee performance to ensure on time, quality and on budget project execution.
  • Provides guidance, managerial, technical support to complete project team.
  • Lead and Communicate with project site engineers, subcontractors and vendors to assist them in working to the Project schedule.
  • Represent GEC with customers, clients, consultants, Government Authorities, vendors and subcontractors.
  • Review subcontractor references, obtain Subcontractor bonds, and maintain project files.
  • Attend all schedule and management MEP meetings necessary to monitor and manage the projects, chairing as appropriate.
  • Manage all requisitions and payments including lien releases and project payroll and maintains best possible cash flow throughout the project, communicating issues proactively.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:


  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
  • Experience with minimum 10 + years in progressively responsible Project Management roles leading larger teams in the MEP industry.
  • Must be certificate holder of PMP (Project Management Professional).
  • Strong problem solving, negotiations and creative skills.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Excellent command in English and Arabic.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented with analytical mindset.
