Position in Organization


To perform dismantle inspections and root cause failure analysis of Electrical Submersible Pump systems, ensuring accurate diagnosis of failure modes and providing actionable recommendations to improve reliability and extend equipment run life.




Key Responsibilities


Disassemble ESP components (pump, motor, seals, gas separators, intakes) following API RP 11S1 and company procedures. Inspect for wear, corrosion, erosion, abrasives, and mechanical damage failure Analysis & Reporting:


Perform detailed failure mode identification and root cause analysis using structured methodologies. Prepare comprehensive DIFA reports with photographic evidence and technical observations. Convert data into information and provide evidence-based conclusions in a word format professionally written report use framework Situation Complication Question and Answer (SCQA) with evidence-based conclusions. Creates, reviews, updates process and product assembly procedures. May have additional duties to support Workshop, Field Service and other departments.




Financial & Profit and Loss responsibility


Prepare summary information for ESP and 3rd party products and service failures direct and indirect cost for the last reporting period. List of recommendations related to product, process improvements inner and with customer. Estimate investment cost to a product and process improvement direct and indirect gains. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve ESP Up-time, and ESP failure rates that fall below Target Run Lives.




HSE, Quality & Compliance


Demonstrate proactive reporting, safety ownership, and continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to HSE standards during dismantling and inspection activities. Maintain certifications for electrical safety and hoisting obtentions the current legislation of the State of Kuwait.

Qualifications & Experience


Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Petroleum Engineering. The DIFA Expert shall have the minimum experience below: -


Minimum five (5) years’ experience in SPS and Alternate SPS manufacturing, dismantle, inspection and testing. Minimum 2–5 years in ESP systems dismantle inspection and failure analysis. Familiarity with API RP 11S1 standards and artificial lift systems.

For Kuwaiti, minimum two (2) years’ experience in SPS and Alternate SPS manufacturing, dismantle, inspection and testing. Technical Skills: Knowledge of ESP components and failure mechanisms. Proficiency in root cause analysis tools and reporting software. Ability to interpret equipment drawings and operational data. 2. ALS ESP Application Engineer Course DIFA training course. Human error theory. Certifications: Electrical safety certification Hoisting equipment operation certification.
