Perform maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of heavy and light vehicles . Diagnose mechanical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair and service engines, transmissions, clutches, brakes, suspension, steering, and drivetrain systems . Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance according to scheduled maintenance plans. Inspect vehicles to identify faults and recommend necessary repairs or replacement of parts. Troubleshoot diesel and petrol engine-related mechanical problems . Repair and maintain heavy vehicles such as trucks, trailers, buses, and other commercial vehicles , as applicable. Repair and maintain light vehicles such as cars, vans, pickups, and SUVs . Perform engine overhauling and component replacement when required. Check and repair cooling systems, fuel systems, exhaust systems, and other mechanical components. Conduct routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacement, lubrication, and general inspections. Ensure all repairs are completed according to company and manufacturer standards. Maintain proper records of repairs, maintenance activities, and spare parts used. Report major faults and additional repair requirements to the supervisor. Follow all workplace health, safety, and environmental procedures . Keep tools, equipment, and the workshop clean and properly maintained.

Desired Candidate Profile

ITI / Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering preferred. Experience in heavy and/or light vehicle maintenance and repair . Good knowledge of diesel and petrol engines . Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults independently. Experience in commercial vehicle workshops is an advantage. Knowledge of modern vehicle diagnostic equipment is preferred. Ability to work effectively in a team and follow safety procedures.
