Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Legal Secretary role based in Kuwait City. The Legal Secretary will provide administrative and clerical support to legal professionals, including drafting, formatting, and managing legal documents and correspondence. Daily tasks include organizing case files, maintaining diaries and calendars, scheduling meetings and hearings, and managing telephone and email communications. The role also involves coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, updating legal databases and records, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate, compliant, and filed in a timely manner. The Legal Secretary will contribute to the smooth operation of the legal function by prioritizing tasks, maintaining confidentiality, and supporting lawyers and legal assistants as needed.
Skills
- Knowledge of Law and legal procedures, with the ability to understand and support legal workflows.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, proofreading, and organizing legal correspondence and filings.
- Experience supporting Legal Assistants or legal teams, with strong coordination and communication skills.
- Strong Clerical Skills, including typing, filing, data entry, and general office administration.
- Effective Diary Management skills for scheduling, tracking deadlines, and organizing appointments and court dates.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- High attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., MS Office, document management systems) and basic understanding of legal case management tools.
- Previous experience as a legal secretary, legal administrative assistant, or similar role is preferred.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field is beneficial.
