Roles & Responsibilities

The Electrical Maintenance Manager (For Land Drilling Rigs & Associated Equipment’s and Work Shop) is responsible and In-Charge for planning, managing, and supervising all electrical maintenance activities related for all the land drilling rigs and associated equipment’s ,Organize the workshop / Electrical Yard, Manage PMS System, travelling equipment, and material handling systems operating under Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) standards. The role ensures maximum equipment reliability, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and adherence to HSE requirements while leading a multidisciplinary electrical maintenance team. Perform the following essential work activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems for drilling rigs, travelling equipment, and handling systems under Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) operations. Maintenance Planning and Execution Electrical Equipment Maintenance Travelling and Handling Equipment Support Fault Diagnosis and Technical Support Asset Reliability Management Team Leadership and Supervision Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance Maintenance Planning and Resource Management Contractor and Vendor Coordination Documentation and Reporting Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement Operational Support Compliance and Governance

Desired Candidate Profile

Education Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory) Masters Degree or MBA (Preferred) Experience Minimum 20+ years of electrical maintenance experience in the oil & gas or drilling industry. Minimum 15 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Experience with KOC or GCC drilling operations is preferred. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of drilling rig electrical systems, power generation, MCCs, VFDs, SCR systems, PLCs, transformers, motors, switchgear, and power distribution. Proficiency in preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance. Experience with CMMS (SAP PM, Maximo, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office. Leadership & Soft Skills Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, communication, and team management skills. Ability to manage contractors, budgets, and maintenance resources effectively. HSE & Certifications Good knowledge of KOC HSE requirements, PTW, LOTO, and electrical safety standards. NEBOSH, IOSH, CMRP, HV Switching, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
