Job description

We are EPC contracting company looking for estimation engineer to analyse project requirements and create accurate cost estimates for construction or engineering projects. Here's an overview of the typical tasks involved in estimation engineering. He reviews project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand the scope, materials, and resources required. This involves assessing the complexity, size, and duration of the project. The candidates should have good knowledge in tendering & proposal activities.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate at least should be 8+ years of experience in estimation with at least 5 years in the oil and gas projects only (Powerplant & petrochemical experience will not be considered), hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of office and site support tasks and work diligently under pressure, with a focus on EPC, pipeline construction, manifolds, skid and equipment installation works. Experience with computer software such as AutoCAD, Microsoft project, this person will be comfortable working with strong attention to details and discretion, Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking skills and analytical skills, and has excellent communication, interpersonal & organizational skills and is willingly open to learn and develop new skills RESPONSIBILITIES:  To review the tender and project documents to assist in the preparation of technical and commercial bids for projects.  To prepare tender documentation queries to consultants/clients to confirm Technical & commercial queries pertaining to tender documents.  Prepare comparison sheets between subcontractors’ quotations.  To prepare detailed cost breakdown as per the scope of project/tender.  Attend tender meetings with clients and provide clarifications to commercial and technical queries till the award of the project.  Calculation of man-hour requirement for fabrication, requirement of consumables, NDT, heat treatment, internal /external coating, and calculation of production cost.  Prepare sub-contract enquiries and obtain quotations for sub-contract products and activities  Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service  Creating labour estimates for any project  Study & evaluate of P&ID, Data sheets, Layout of Project requirements  Preparation of Bill of Materials as per tender requirements  Costing of Direct- Indirect, Manpower, Fixed Asset & Construction Cost In addition to these responsibilities, estimation engineers in the oil and gas industry must also have a strong understanding of the industry's regulations and safety standards. They must also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment independently and as part of a team.
