Role Description The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the continuous and safe operation of aluminum factory equipment through effective preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance practices. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, extending equipment life, and maintaining optimal production efficiency in alignment with operational and safety standards. Qualifications
· Plan, execute, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance for aluminum factory machinery and production lines.· Maintain and service mechanical equipment including extrusion machines, cutting machines, presses, conveyors, compressors, and related systems.· Diagnose mechanical faults and breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement permanent corrective actions.· Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.· Supervise maintenance technicians and assign daily tasks based on production priorities.· Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.· Ensure proper installation, alignment, lubrication, and calibration of mechanical equipment.· Monitor spare parts usage, recommend critical spares, and coordinate with procurement for timely availability.· Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and equipment history logs.· Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, safety procedures, and factory operating standards.· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency. Requirments
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent technical qualification. Minimum 5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance within aluminum, metal, or industrial manufacturing environments. Strong hands-on knowledge of industrial machinery, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drives. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical failures under production pressure. Good understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance concepts. Leadership ability to manage technicians and coordinate maintenance activities. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. High sense of responsibility, discipline, and safety awareness.
