Job Description:The Executive Pastry Chef is responsible for leading the pastry section at Earth Roastery. This includes creating innovative and high-quality desserts, managing the pastry team, ensuring consistency and excellence in product preparation and presentation, and upholding hygiene and cost control standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Menu Planning and Development Create new pastry, dessert, and bakery items that match the Earth Roastery brand. Plan seasonal or special menus. Make sure all recipes are high quality and consistent.2. Recipe Standardization Write and update clear, standard recipes. Train the team to follow the recipes exactly. Ensure all pastries taste and look the same every time.3. Team Leadership Lead and manage the pastry team (bakers, helpers). Assign daily tasks and supervise the work. Train new staff and improve the skills of the team.4. Quality Control Check the taste, freshness, and presentation of all products. Make sure every item meets Earth Roastery's standards. Fix problems quickly if something is not right.5. Inventory and Ordering Keep track of ingredients and materials. Order supplies before they run out. Avoid wasting ingredients by planning properly.6. Kitchen Organization Keep the pastry kitchen clean, safe, and organized. Ensure hygiene and food safety rules are followed. Arrange equipment and tools for a smooth workflow.
7. Cost Control Manage ingredient costs to stay within budget. Use materials efficiently to avoid waste. Suggest improvements to save time and money.8. Collaboration Work closely with the R&D Dept.., baristas, and management. Create desserts that pair well with Earth Roastery coffee. Help with food presentations and promotions.9. Innovation and Trends Stay updated with new pastry trends and techniques. Bring fresh ideas to attract more customers. Attend training or events when needed.10. Customer Focus Take feedback from customers seriously. Adjust recipes or presentation based on customer preferences.

Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience in a similar role (5+ years preferred). Strong knowledge of international and artisan pastry techniques. Creative flair with excellent attention to detail. Team leadership and time management skills. Knowledge of hygiene, HACCP, and safety regulations. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
