We are seeking a dynamic and personable Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our esteemed hospitality team in Kuwait. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances their dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will involve managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring efficient table turnover while maintaining a high standard of service. You will collaborate closely with the restaurant staff to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction. Ideal candidates will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor, setting the tone for their dining experience.
  2. Manage reservations efficiently, ensuring that the seating arrangements are optimized for guest flow and satisfaction.
  3. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
  4. Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest needs are met.
  5. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, offering solutions to enhance their experience.
  6. Monitor dining room activity to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  7. Provide accurate wait times to guests and manage the waitlist effectively.
  8. Assist in training new staff members on hosting procedures and service standards.
  9. Participate in team meetings to discuss service improvements and guest feedback.
  10. Stay updated on menu offerings and promotions to provide guests with accurate information.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage guests and create a welcoming environment.
  2. Strong multitasking abilities, capable of handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  3. Prior experience in a hospitality or customer service role is highly desirable.
  4. A positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent service.
  5. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  6. Strong attention to detail, ensuring that every guest's experience is memorable.
  7. Team-oriented mindset, willing to collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  8. Proficient in using reservation management systems or software.
  9. Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
