Project Operations Supervisor
Operations Supervisor shall:
- Coordinate and supervise personnel during drills, exercises and training as requested by Customers’ representative.
- Coordinate and supervise personnel during oil spill incidents and standby operations.
- Coordinate with Customers’ representative the supervision of personnel during their daily activities at the work site.
- Provide induction to personnel related to oil spill response equipment and operation.
- Develop operational guidelines for the deployment of personnel during response operations.
- During oil spill response activities shall be available on a 24/7 basis and ready to deploy personnel as and when required by Customers’ representative.
- Shall deliver safety and operational briefings during drills and operational exercises.
- Ensure that all operational activities are carried out with due regard to safety of others and environmental considerations, in line with all Customers’ relevant policies and procedures.
- Take an active part in toolbox talks, Job Hazard Analysis, risk assessment and any other safety duty as deemed necessary by the Customers.
- Shall be required to work in all base locations and carry out inspections as per the Contracts’ requirements.
- To be contactable at all times and be on call for oil spill incidents and be available 24/7 for deployment.
- Responsible for the development, day-to-day general welfare, and discipline of staff under his supervision.
- In coordination with HSE Representative, to visit all base locations on a monthly basis.
Qualifications and experience required are:
- Charter Boat Captain’s Credential (Master 200 GRT or less) with a sublicense or authorized to operate in Near Coastal waters (up to 200 miles offshore) with a minimum of 03 Years of experience in a similar position.
- Project Operations Supervisor shall be authorized by “Planning and Marine Transport Licensing – Minister of Transport – State of Qatar” to operate a boat with the specification as per Attachment 05 of this Appendix. Have a good working knowledge of a variety of vessels, their general service and operation.
- Completed the H2S training, T-BOSIET, Basic Rigging & Slinging and Safety Courses related to working offshore/ Onshore locations.
- Completion of Basic Safety Training (SCTW-95 A-II/4) or similar safety trainings.
- Experience in managing teams. Be able to communicate well with his workforce and demonstrate leadership skills.
- Have good computer skills and able to write a report.
- Have at least Diploma in Marine or Oil and Gas related disciplines, or equivalent attested by the official authorities.
- Be physically fit and able to swim and have a valid Offshore medical fitness certificate.
- Reside in Qatar, have valid Qatari driver license and Qatari ID card.
- Have worked in an Oil & Gas / Marine related industry and have at least five (05) years of experience and has the knowledge and experience in oil spill response.
