We are looking for a talented and skilled Welder to join our multicultural and diverse team in Kuwait. You will be responsible for Performing day to day shift activities related with welding and gas cutting, repairs, attending planned and unplanned shutdowns. Assisting inspection and maintenance of EAF/ LF/ CCM/ EOT Cranes/ Raw material handling systems/FTP/ Fans/Pumps/Air Compressors together with mechanical fitter.
Duties may include but will not be limited to:
- Carrying-out required welding jobs and maintenance activities (preventive and corrective maintenance) by associating with mechanical technician as per maintenance SAP PM work order and giving back proper feedback.
- To perform welding / gas cutting work in EAF/LRF roof, shell, and EBT water cooled panel’s leakages in assistance with mechanical fitter.
- Assisting mechanical technician in correcting the identified abnormalities under the supervision of his superior.
- Assisting mechanical technician in attending breakdowns, minimizing delays and unplanned shutdowns.
- Implementing & following the instructions from the management.
- Coordinating with other departments and working as a team.
- Assisting mechanical technician in carrying-out daily shift activities and follow-through the problems.
- Proper maintenance of equipment / facilities and carrying out repair works and keeping spares ready.
- Studying the system, proper tools handling, safekeeping and working effectively to reduce the maintenance cost.
- Proper housekeeping and cleaning of equipment, tools and work areas. Cleaning of equipment areas after any maintenance job.
- Following rules & regulations of the Company, such as company annual leave, medical leave, working hours, shift schedule, off days and safety instructions and also the rules specified by the Authority / Ministry.
- Performs other tasks and duties that maybe assigned by his superior.
Qualifications:
- At least an Industrial training certificate course in Welding
- Thorough work knowledge in manual metal arc welding, TIG welding, manual oxygen gas cutting and shall be able to perform X-ray quality welds.
- At least 3 - 5 years as a Welder in fabrication of vessels and pipelines.
