DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for Heavy Driver in Kuwait. You will have to provide safe, secure, on-time and accurate transportation and delivery between locations of mail/ parcel including local mail, small packages, or legal documents in line with the business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies.

In this Heavy Driver position

• You will have to pick-up and deliver documents and packages at the service point according to established procedures, in all weather conditions.
• You will collect, sort and distribute/ securely store internal and external mail such as letters, packages, legal documents, etc. to maintain the confidentiality of correspondence and meet delivery timelines.
• You will have to drive between destinations within city or industrial area to transport and deliver mail/ parcels.
• You will check and deliver material safely to correct consignee, identify wrongly addressed mail, return to sender or re-address so that mail reaches its correct destination.
• You will draft receipts, verify orders, and collect payment for deliveries.
• You will have to operate a scanner to record shipping and package information for all documents/packages picked up or delivered.
• You will have to check loading unit and truck to ensure they meet required appearance guidelines, and technical and operational conditions.
• You will undertake preventive maintenance of the vehicle by testing various operative systems and fluids levels and perform minor in-transit repairs in case of failures.
• You will have to study traffic patterns, alternative routes, traffic regulations and driving conditions to meet time requirements.
• You will use and understand supporting route planning technology.
