About This Role

We are looking for a Fishing Supervisor to join our growing team. This role will be based in Kuwait.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee and perform all kinds of jobs with assigned equipment and people, safely and efficiently. Provide service delivery with flawless service quality and no HSE incidents in accordance with company policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure that the correct equipment and materials has arrived on location
  • Ensure equipment is rigged up, tested and ready to perform the job, as requested by client, with no deviations from company standards and contingency plans in place
  • Ensure pre-job meetings are held with involved personnel (company, client and third party personnel)
  • Take full accountability for the complete service delivery process to the client
  • Execute successful jobs as per the design provided and approved by the Client
  • Recognise risks associated with the operation and reduce these risks to as low as reasonably possible
  • Identify any potential unplanned changes to the job program at the well site
  • Ensure that all personnel assigned are competent to drive and/or operate their assigned equipment
  • Complete all the required pre and post job paper work and job tickets on time and without errors as per company policies
  • Participate in the District/Location HSE & Quality initiatives and programs (e.g. Safe, Risk Assessments, Quality Improvements, Emergency Response Plan, HSE and Training Objectives)
  • Perform Risk Analysis (e.g. SAFE, JSA) before each job or task and identify and address potential safety hazards. Correct and report hazard immediately to Supervisor
  • Coach and mentor less experienced employees. Act as a role model for all field operations people.
  • Interface effectively with company man and rig personnel
  • Provide technical support and oversee the rigging up and running of various down hole fishing tools
  • Conduct team meetings (tool box talks)
  • Calculate space out of tools
  • Track parameters and fill in trend sheet during milling and fishing operations
  • Answer client’s question concerning operating parameters, dimension and product lines
  • Collate all relevant information and generate reports in a professional manner
  • Provide onsite expertise and supervision for fishing operations
  • Assist technical group in preparing post job reports (if required)
  • Review well schematic, tool program and operator’s well program
  • Take all dimensions of tools and prepare BHAs for operation taking place
  • Have knowledge of operating parameters of tool to be run in BHA
  • Supervise making up BHA at rig site ensuring correct torque of connections
  • Supervise transfer of tools from basket to drill floor
  • Inspect tools for damage after pulling out from wellbore
  • Prepare tools for backload and verify all protectors fitted to all tools
  • Send update of operation on a daily basis to operations manager/location manager
  • To be able to problem solve and come up with contingency plan and discuss with Operations Manager and company man prior to implementing
  • Complete well job report with as much information as possible


What You Will Need To Succeed

  • Degree Educated or QBE with relevant experience within drilling/fishing industry or long relevant experience gained working in a similar position
  • A minimum of 5 years field experience within fishing services
  • Offshore experience in a similar role
  • A good understanding of IT software and IT systems
  • Should be able to successfully demonstrate physical ability to perform essential job functions and have the necessary basic training for QHSE implementation
  • Must successfully pass pre-placement medical examination and drug screening
