MEP Planning Engineer

  1. Set targets for activities based on each phase of a project plan and ensure it meets client’s specifications.
  2. Make estimations for timescales and costs using specialized design software packages.
  3. Monitor day-to-day work progress for a project and provide accurate weekly and monthly reports.
  4. Make comparisons between planned progress and actual progress and report any differences to the line manager.
  5. Handle budget by overseeing the project planning, inventory services, cost control, team leadership, and project management.
  6.  Attend crucial meetings and provide current status updates to vendors, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  7. Identify gaps in key performance areas and plan activities to increase overall project efficiency.
  8. Provide guidance and deliver schedules to facilitate project execution strategy.
  9. Provide day-to-day updates to the Project Manager regarding all related activities of the Project.
  10. Perform other task assigned by the management.
  11. Assist in evaluating of proposal, value add and conduct VE where applicable.
  12. Assist in ensuring the consistency between plans, specifications, and the construction program.
  13. Assist in ensuring proper record and documentation of all matters related to EOT and VOs
  14. Preparation of Payment certification and finalization with the main contractor and consultant
  15. Preparation and maintaining proper logs i.e.  E1 , E2 . NCR , SWI , FRI , JSI ..etc.

Skills

  1. Bachelor Degree in Electrical /Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
  2. Experience with minimum 12+ years in progressively responsible Project Management roles preferably in MEP Industry.
  3. Strong problem solving, negotiations and creative skills.
  4. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  5. Self-driven, detail-oriented with analytical mind-set.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Risk Management.
  8. Cost Management.
  9. Project Planning &Team Management.
