Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced network engineer to be based in Kuwait on a contract hire basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, deployment, optimization, and administration of high performance, low latency enterprise networks in a complex, mixed vendor environment. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in advanced routing technologies and enterprise scale network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain high performance, low latency enterprise network infrastructures
  • Lead network architecture design for complex, multisite environments
  • Implement and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols in mixed environments:
    OSPF
    BGP
    ISIS
  • Perform network optimization, capacity planning, and performance tuning
  • Ensure high availability, resilience, and security of network services
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues at L2/L3 levels
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams during project delivery
  • Produce and maintain detailed network documentation, diagrams, and standards
  • Support network migrations, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers where required
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise IT policies, standards, and best practices

    • Mandatory Requirements (Must Have)

    Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in network administration and engineering
  • Proven experience designing and deploying enterprise scale, high performance networks

    • Education

    Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:

  • Information technology
  • Information systems
  • Computer science
  • Communications engineering
  • Or a closely related discipline

    • Certifications

  • Valid CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure certification (mandatory)

    • Technical Expertise

  • Strong, hands-on knowledge of:
    Advanced routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, ISIS
  • Enterprise routing and switching environments
  • Network performance optimization and low latency design principles
  • Experience working in mixed vendor network environments

    • Nice to Have (Advantageous)

  • Experience in service provider or large enterprise environments
  • Exposure to data center networking and high availability architectures
  • Knowledge of network security concepts and integration with security platforms
  • Experience supporting mission critical or 24/7 operational networks
  • Prior experience working in the Middle East region

    • Soft Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently in a contract based role
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
