The role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process & Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of major water, utility, and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership in process engineering, testing, commissioning, and performance optimization activities, ensuring systems are delivered in accordance with project requirements, operational objectives, and industry best practices.

• Provide technical oversight of process systems associated with water, utility, and infrastructure facilities throughout construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
• Review process engineering documentation, flow diagrams, P&IDs, commissioning procedures, technical submittals, and construction methodologies.
• Monitor process testing, commissioning, performance verification, and acceptance activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and operational requirements.
• Assess process reliability, efficiency, and system performance, providing recommendations to enhance operational effectiveness and long-term asset performance.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning during commissioning and operational readiness phases.
• Coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical, control, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful integration of process systems.
• Maintain commissioning records, technical reports, testing data, and project documentation in accordance with quality and reporting requirements.
• Review as-built documentation, operation and maintenance manuals, and handover deliverables prior to project completion.
• Contribute technical expertise to continuous improvement, risk management, and process optimization initiatives.

With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in process engineering, commissioning, or operational support within water, utility, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong experience in process testing, commissioning, performance evaluation, and operational readiness of complex treatment, distribution, or utility systems.
• Demonstrated ability to review process documentation, engineering drawings, PFDs, P&IDs, technical specifications, and contractor submissions.
• Sound understanding of process reliability, system efficiency, performance analysis, and acceptance testing procedures.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments involving mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Experience with water treatment, water distribution, disinfection, chlorination, or water quality management systems.
• Proven involvement in commissioning and optimization of large-scale utility or infrastructure facilities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and technical reporting skills, with strong English language proficiency.
