FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2 A private co-educational non for profit bilingual school located in Kuwait is seeking PRIMARY / ELEMENTARY TEACHERS. Single preferred with no trailing spouse or children This is one of Kuwait s leading private schools, offering a well-established bilingual education that blends a strong American curriculum with Arabic language and cultural studies. Known for its academic rigour and balanced approach, the school provides a dynamic learning environment where students develop fluency in both English and Arabic while building critical thinking and global awareness. With modern facilities, a diverse student body, and a strong emphasis on character, leadership, and innovation, Al Bayan prepares students to succeed in international pathways while staying deeply connected to their cultural identity. The school is a well established and reputable establishment of enviable accreditation serving a 90% local population of 2100 students from KG to Grade 12 A Float position earns the same salary and benefits as a homeroom teacher. Due to the large size of the elementary school with more than 700 students, absences and long term leaves are expected. It is for this reason that they have approval to hire 2-3 extra qualified teachers who can step into the classroom due to a sudden emergency or even a no-show in August. The extra teachers are given duties in various classrooms throughout the year. Extra teachers can also be assigned as homeroom teacher in the following year when the vacancy arises. It is a great way to adjust into the climate of the school.
Desired Candidate Profile
Must be certified and have a bachelor degree in Elementary Education or closely related.
Responsible for teaching English Language, writing and literacy, art, science and math to classes of up to 22 students
Two or more years of experience although strong NQTs may be considered
Speak English as a first language
International experience desired but not required
Able to work well with team
Teachers must maintain grades, parent contacts, running records, behavior management for the class and meet with administration and parents regarding individual students
Implement the curriculum by designing effective and creative lessons and assessments to ensure students education is at an internationally competitive level
Solid standards based instruction, lesson planning, strong classroom management skills and organization required
Collaborate with colleagues and willing to work in a professional, academic environment.
Able to incorporate technology in classroom instruction
Should be flexible and love kids.
