Job Summary
To promote the Employee Wellness Program (EWP) and support with Employee Engagement.
The ideal incumbent for this role is to promote and maintain the EWP to all levels of employees, with the main focus on blue-collar employees.
Job Responsibilities
EMPLOYEE WELLNESS PROGRAM (EWP)
• To support the Snr HR Manager – Employee Relations with the implementation, ongoing promotion, and the evaluation of the EWP for all levels and all divisions across the GCC.
• Monitor and review the quarterly report results and KPI’s.
• Identify issues during the awareness training programs and employee grievances that can be highlighted to business HR
• Ensure the EWP promotional material is in all the locations.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS:
• If required, to help HR mediate conflict in the workplace but always remaining impartial, confidential, fair, and professional in conjunction with the Sr. Manager – ER.
• To act as a translator in employee grievance or appeal hearings, if requested.
• Ensure effective working relationships with stakeholders.
EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT
• Support the Snr HR Manager – ER with the implementation of Employee Engagement Program
EMPLOYEE WELFARE – EMPLOYEE BASIC HEALTH CHECKS, SPORTING EVENTS & SOCIAL NETWORKS
• Plan and co-ordinate and execute employee basic health checks, sports events, initiatives for the group such as cricket, football, beach games, bowling, talent competitions, movie nights, mindfulness/meditation sessions, health talks etc.
• Plan and coordinate health, wellness events.
BUSINESS OUTCOMES
• Maintain & develop ER/EWP metrics and case tracking.
• Ensure effective working relationships in a diverse multi-cultural & competitive commercial environment.
• Maintain a strong network of internal and external specialists and peers.
Candidate Requirements
• Strong ethics and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to speak English, Arabic and Hindi, would be an advantage.
• Must be confident in most situations and be able to work in a predominately male business environment and with blue-collar employees ensuring an effective working relationship in a diverse multi-cultural & competitive commercial environment.
• Knowledge of local Labor Law would be an added advantage.
• Must want to help others and be empathetic, caring, calm and compassionate.
• Ability to analyze and concisely explain in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must have the ability to manage conflict and seek conflict resolution.
• Preferably have experience with dealing with blue-collar employees across the GCC.
• If possible have experience with dealing with Employee Wellness Programs in the GCC.
• Have a good understanding of the diverse local community cultures and identifying the correct course of communication style to engage with each of them.
Education & Experience
• Graduate degree, preferably in the psychology field.
• ± 4 years’ experience working in the Middle East/GCC is preferable.
