Overview of the role
The Inventory Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory control across store operations. The role strictly adheres to operating procedures to ensure stock availability, accurate stock movement tracking, and effective risk mitigation, minimizing stock loss throughout the end-to-end inventory process.
What You Will Do
Shipment & Stock Movement Control
- Monitor and control product inflow and outflow between warehouses and stores.
- Identify and escalate stock discrepancies during receiving by raising SRD reports and coordinating with suppliers/senders until system adjustments are completed.
- Track and update stock movements accurately in both logbooks and inventory systems.
Stock Accuracy & Investigations
- Conduct weekly investigations to prevent stock shortages based on Stock Accuracy Checks.
- Ensure proper segregation of damaged items in the stockroom and manage the movement of damaged units/uniforms to SOF in line with procedures.
Marketing & Event Support
- Support store preparation for marketing events by coordinating stock count procedures.
- Arrange additional cartons and segregate stock to enable efficient scanning and accurate counting.
Missing Barcode Management
- Accurately document inventory details (quantity, type, style, quality, and other identifiers) for items with missing or unidentifiable barcodes.
- Coordinate with the Brand Team in Dubai for barcode resolution.
- Ensure affected merchandise is stored separately with updated records and reported monthly to OPM.
Store Maintenance Support
- Be physically present during store maintenance activities, including night work after store closing, to safeguard inventory.
Budgeting & Financial Support
- Participate in annual business planning.
- Support the management and tracking of monthly budgets.
Asset Management
- Manage all non‑merchandise assets stored in stockrooms used for business operations.
Skills
Required Skills to be Successful
- Strong hands‑on experience handling large shipments with high accuracy in counting.
- Clear communication skills to effectively coordinate with vendors and delivery personnel during receiving.

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification from a recognized university.
Minimum Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a retail stock handling or inventory control role.
