Position: Derma Nurse
Location: Medica Care Center
The Derma Nurse supports dermatologists and aesthetic physicians in delivering safe, high-quality dermatological and cosmetic treatments. Responsibilities include assisting during procedures, preparing patients and treatment rooms, providing nursing care, and offering pre- and post-treatment instructions to ensure patient safety and satisfaction. Previous experience in dermatology or aesthetic procedures is an advantage; however, Nurses without prior Derma experience may also be considered, as the center provides training to support skill development in dermatological and aesthetic practices.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Assist dermatologists during consultations, examinations, and dermatological procedures.
- Prepare patients for treatments such as laser therapy, chemical peels, microneedling, Botox, fillers, and other skin procedures.
- Operate dermatology and laser equipment according to clinic protocols.
- Monitor patients during and after treatments and report any complications to the physician.
- Perform basic nursing procedures such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and wound care.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for procedures.
- Assist in minor dermatological procedures including biopsies, injections, and laser treatments.
Patient Care & Consultation
- Conduct preliminary patient assessments and record medical history.
- Educate patients about skincare treatments, procedures, and expected outcomes.
- Provide pre- and post-treatment instructions to patients.
- Support patients throughout procedures to ensure comfort and safety.
Administrative & Documentation Duties
- Maintain accurate patient medical records and treatment documentation.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and MOH regulations.
- Monitor stock levels of dermatology supplies and consumables.
- Assist in scheduling follow-up appointments and coordinating patient care.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Valid Kuwait MOH Nursing License or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in dermatology, aesthetics, or cosmetic clinic (preferred).
- Knowledge of dermatology treatments, laser devices, and skincare procedures.
- BLS/CPR certification is preferred.
