The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking an experienced Communications Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a minimum of eleven (11) years of hands-on experience in RF communications and/or communications networks, supporting C4ISR and C5ISR systems across the Department of Defense (DoD).
This position provides Life Cycle Sustainment and Maintenance (LCSM) support, training, and technical expertise for VSAT satellite systems, Cisco-based networks, and deployable communications environments.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide LCSM support and training for Very Small Aperture Terminals (VSAT) and associated equipment at customer sites.


  • Perform Tier III repairs, installations, integration, fielding, testing, and lifecycle sustainment on DoD C4ISR systems.


  • Deliver system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting training to organizational personnel.
  • Conduct bench testing, maintenance validation, and support equipment upgrades and on-the-job training (OJT).


  • Generate and maintain work orders, handle CONUS/OCONUS equipment logistics, and manage the logistical database software.


  • Serve as a technical liaison between users, departments, and vendors—ensuring consistent service availability and system performance.


  • Support research, development, and capability enhancements for deployable communication systems.


  • Provide daily/weekly technical reports and operational updates to leadership.


Qualifications:
Required: 


  • Active Secret Clearance (with eligibility to upgrade to Top Secret/SCI)


  • Eleven (11) years of experience with Joint Warfighter C4ISR systems, including at least three (3) of the following: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test and Evaluation, and Training.


  • Demonstrated leadership and subject matter expertise in C5ISR systems development, testing, logistics, or sustainment.


  • Proficiency configuring and managing:


    • Cisco routers and switches


    • VSAT / iDirect systems


    • HAIPE encryption devices


    • BGAN / INMARSAT networks


    • LAN / WAN architectures


  • Experience in installation, operation, maintenance, testing, and lifecycle management of DoD telecommunications systems.
  • Strong understanding of Joint Warfighter Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) networks.


  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, provide Tier III support, and train users across the system life cycle.


  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; proven self-starter capable of independent mission execution.


  • Education: BS degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or four (4) years additional experience.


  • Experience: Seven (7) years of professional experience with design, develop, test and supervise the manufacturing / integration of electrical and electronic equipment, to include: Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems / Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation, and Logistics support of C4ISR or similar requirements.


  • Specific Experience: Three (3) years of technical experience in support of SATCOM and / or SATCOM Networks. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.


  • Technical Training in DoD C4ISR systems, Satellite Communications, or Networking Equipment


  • Must meet Continental United States Replacement Center (CRC) deployment requirements, this position is contingent upon it.


Desired:


  • Security+ certification or equivalent DoD 8570-compliant credential


  • Prior leadership in fielding or sustaining Joint Warfighter C5ISR systems

The proposed salary range for this position is:
