The Assistant Officer – Logistics (Dispatcher) manage end-to-end dispatch execution to meet operational demands by verifying order accuracy, load safety, vehicle readiness, and documentation. Coordinate priorities with stakeholders, monitor deliveries and fleet movements using GPS, ensure Delivery Ticket correctness, and provide periodic logistics reports while maintaining strict HSE and site access compliance.
Dispatch & Logistics Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate loading and timely dispatch of materials.
- Gather and prioritize orders daily, issue loading schedules accordingly.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain, Operations, and end users to set delivery priorities.
- Verify quantities and descriptions match orders; prepare and validate Delivery Tickets (DT) before departure.
- Monitor DT accuracy (Qty, customer details, PO reference) and ensure signed returns before Sales submission.
- Follow up with drivers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve location issues.
- Track driver and vehicle movement using GPS; monitor utilization and reduce idle time.
- Ensure vehicles comply with facility entry requirements and HSE/site safety rules.
- Process backloads in the system and notify concerned departments.
- Report incidents immediately to HSE authorities.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly logistics and KPI reports.
Key Success Metrics
- On-time dispatch/delivery and reduced downtime.
- Improved driver/truck utilization and fewer DT errors or cancellations.
- Timely closure of corrective actions (RCA, HAZOP/MOC).
- Accurate and timely KPI dashboard reporting.
- Completion of mandatory logistics and HSE training.
Skills
- Bachelor's or Diploma or equivalent (Logistics / Supply Chain / Business preferred).
- 1-2 experience in dispatch, logistics operations, warehouse coordination, or fleet movement control
- Exposure to delivery documentation, customer/site requirements, and HSE control
- Strong working knowledge of Journey Management, vehicle checklists, and site access controls
- Proficient in Excel and logistics reporting; comfortable with GPS/fleet monitoring systems
- Strong coordination skills with drivers and cross functional teams; high attention to detail.
Working Schedule
- Flexible to work/stay in Wafra, Abdali, or Shuaiba as required.
- Open to site-based assignments with food and accommodation provided in addition to salary if requires staying.
