Summary
Responsible for the production, coordination and delivery of all shop drawings — translating design and contract documents into site execution-ready drawings, ensuring compliance with specifications/codes, and timely issuance for site works.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and update shop drawings, construction drawings, as-built drawings and technical documents.
- Manage submittals, transmittals, RFIs, change orders and technical correspondence; log, track and expedite approvals.
- Verify drawings against contract documents and specifications; flag non-conformances.
- Maintain document control, drawing registers, revision control and electronic document management systems (EDMS).
- Support site inspections, tests, commissioning and handover; prepare as-built packages and O&M manuals.
- Conduct basic engineering checks and calculations (structural, MEP interfaces, tolerances) as required.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates and provide input to schedule monitoring.
- Ensure designs and deliverables comply with codes, standards, health & safety and QA/QC procedures.
Skills
Technical Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- +4 years’ experience as technical office engineer.
- Proven experience preparing and reviewing shop/construction drawings and managing submittals.
- Proficient in AutoCAD; Revit/BIM experience preferred.
- Familiar with MS Office (Excel, Word, Project) and EDMS/document control systems.
- Knowledge of construction codes, contract specifications and shop drawing standards.
- Ability to interpret structural, architectural and MEP drawings and construction sequencing.
