Role Summary A Mechanical Inspector with a minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical works inspection across large‑scale building or infrastructure projects.
The role ensures that all mechanical installations are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and industry codes, while maintaining strict quality, safety, and compliance standards on site.
Key Responsibilities Conduct inspections of mechanical works including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related systems.
Verify that all installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant codes and standards.
Review and comment on shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
Monitor site activities to ensure proper execution and adherence to project quality requirements.
Identify non‑conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project teams to resolve technical issues.
Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Ensure compliance with project safety procedures and promote safe working practices.
Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover activities for mechanical systems.
Support the QA/QC team in maintaining project quality standards and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements • Bachelor’s / associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline • Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical inspection for building or infrastructure projects • Strong understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related services • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IPC, etc.
) • Experience reviewing shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals • Ability to conduct site inspections, identify non‑conformities, and ensure corrective actions • Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and project documentation requirements • Strong coordination and communication skills with contractors, consultants, and project teams • Proficiency in preparing inspection reports and maintaining compliance records • Experience working in the Middle East is preferred • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and project delivery timelines
