Job Summary
Accountable for delivery of sales, account management, communications and marketing activities in accordance with plan/s defined in the business strategy, whilst supporting the Sales Executives in other regions in customer acquisition activity to increase customer base and profitability.
Job Responsibilities
- Development of Marketing Partnerships and Relationship Management: Develop partnership opportunities with airlines, Closed user groups and other channels relevant to DET.
- Travel Trade Relationships: Develop new and manage the existing travel trade relationships. Seek their support to develop sales & marketing opportunities for destination Dubai. Train, present and build relationships with travel trade partners to promote destination Dubai.
- Sales Missions & Events: Plan, attend and support execution of sales missions, events & FAM’s for destination Dubai, Ensure selecting and negotiating the right venues, inviting the right trade partners and ensuring successful events.
- Database Development and CRM: Build and maintain the right database for the destination in the advise CRM tool. Ensure timely updates of the database
- Reporting, Research & Insights: Create Bi-weekly detailed Insight about your region and create detailed reports on market intelligence, key activities, opportunities and future action plans
- Enquiries: Support & respond to enquiries & leads generated from the clients
- Budgeting and Financial Management: Support the budgeting process and ensure costs are in line with budgets assigned. Constantly review revenue expectations and raise concerns in time.
- Branding & Artwork for DET trade collaterals (with support from Dubai office): Support build of artwork for DET collaterals with support of marketing & admin team
- Team: Manage activities of the team across the region to ensure clean and clear execution of the submitted plans
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Commercial/Sales. Other 5 + Years - Work experience in a sales, business development or account management role; Preferred experience in both operations and sales and marketing within a DMC,GDS, Travel Agency, Airline, Hotel or service industries.
- Knowledge/Skills
- Strong customer service skills;
- Travel Destination Management, Global Distribution Systems business knowledge is advantageous;
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Applications, CRM/GDS tools;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (additional languages will be a distinct advantage and may be required for certain market segments);
- Ability to create engaging and professional sales presentations for delivery to external stakeholders;
- Good commercial acumen;
- Familiarity with the GCC Travel markets, country destination and product preferred;
- The ability to speak publicly and interact with a diverse range of individuals internal and external to the organisation.
